REAL
ESTATE/HOUSING
To those who are fortunate enough to move to Fresno from the San Francisco
Bay Area or Los Angeles, they all suffer serious sticker shock. They are stunned
as to how affordable and plentiful housing is in this area. District 6 is no
exception. You can buy a house in district 6 that could easily cost 3 to 4
times that in those other areas. Housing costs are extremely affordable here and
is just one reason why more and more companies are looking at
Fresno
to relocate or expand.
There are many excellent residential areas all throughout the district. To
illustrate just a few examples, for those who prefer the peace and serenity of a
maturing area, they may prefer Southern area near Fresno State. It offers tree
lined streets and large single story homes. In addition, the original Woodward
Park Area offers the same maturing landscape, large, beautiful custom homes
combined with a very convenient location. If lakefront
living is what you desire, Woodward Lake offers a variety of homes on a lake
large enough for non-motorized water sports and fabulous fishing.
The Dominion is another prime residential area. As Fresno's only planned
community, it is a large area highlighted by miles of tree lined trails and
local neighborhood parks. Very easy access to Woodward Park, The River Parkway,
and the Sugar Pine urban trail make the Dominion very popular.
